In short

Su Chófer Personal runs wine routes with a private chauffeur from Salamanca: Sierra de Francia and Arribes in the province, and Toro, Rueda and Ribera del Duero elsewhere in Castilla y León. You can choose a ready-made route or design your own. The price is fixed per vehicle (up to 8 people per people carrier and 16 with both) and includes the chauffeur, the journeys and waiting time during the visits. Visits and tastings are booked and paid for directly at each winery.

The problem

A day at the wineries where nobody misses out on the toast

On a wine route there is always someone who tastes nothing because it is their turn to drive, or two cars to coordinate in every village. And the best wineries are far from the motorway, along mountain roads.

With a private chauffeur, the group travels together in a people carrier of up to 8 seats: from your door or hotel to the first winery, from there to the next and to lunch, and back at the time you have agreed. The chauffeur waits for you during every visit.

If there are just two of you, you can take the same route in the electric Mercedes-Benz CLA, quiet and comfortable on the mountain bends.

Frequently asked questions

Does the price include winery entry, the tasting or meals?

No. You are only hiring transport with a chauffeur: the vehicle, the driver and the waiting time. Entry fees, tours, tastings, meals and any other activity are booked and paid for separately, directly at each winery or restaurant. We send you the suggested route and the contact details.

How many people can go on the route?

Up to 8 people per people carrier (Mercedes Vito or Ford Tourneo Custom) and up to 16 with both at once, each with its own chauffeur. For couples or groups of up to 4, the electric Mercedes-Benz CLA.

How many wineries can you visit in a day?

Usually 2 or 3 wineries in a full day and 1 or 2 in a half day, leaving time for the journey and for lunch. We help you fit the timings together before you book the visits.

Can we drink in the vehicle?

No. The chauffeur does not drink and no alcohol is consumed on board. Any bottles you buy at the wineries travel in the boot.

Do you pick us up at the hotel or a country house?

Yes. In Salamanca city the pickup is included; at accommodation elsewhere in the province or in another city, it is taken into account in the price.

How far in advance should we book?

The sooner the better, especially at weekends and during the grape harvest (September and October). Many small wineries ask for visits to be booked a week ahead.
